residency 2024 Meng-Chan Yu

Meng-Chan Yu’s exhibition is the culmination of her two months residency in [SiC] supported by the Art Futures an international non-profit organization that supports and initiates activities with an unconditional belief in the value of the arts, culture and education. [SiC] Space for International Cooperation, is an independent, non-for profit, project-space in Athens.

Meng-Chan about her Art Futures - [SIC] - Dat Bolwerck Fellow residency:

"I am continuing to use local soil combined with water to create imagery that delves into the impact of the natural environment, specifically concentrating on the interplay between the ocean, rivers, and human activities. Despite the diversity of human responses to the environment, what are the common human characteristics across cultures and time?"

After her on-site residency at [SIC] Space for Interational Cooperation in Athens GR till June, she will continue the residency at Dat Bolwerck Zutphen NL September - November 2024.
